About
Wildlife biology is Barry’s calling, and photography is his passion.
He has a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from Washington State University, where he also completed his master’s coursework. For nearly 10 years he worked as an “itinerant” biologist, with projects taking him all over the world, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, for a variety of agencies, including NOAA and the International Whaling Commission. For more than twenty years Barry worked for a public agency in the oil spill preparedness and response field where he was responsible for designing and implementing protection strategies for wildlife and habitat during oil spills. Currently, he does consulting work in oil spill preparedness related to environmental protection. |
